Retail Allocation Analyst, The North Face

The Retail Allocation Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory investments across the retail store fleet by developing and executing allocation and replenishment strategies that maximize sales, inventory productivity, and consumer satisfaction.

This role partners closely with the Buyer, Planning team, Distribution Center, Store Operations, and Retail Leadership to ensure the right product is available in the right store, at the right time and in the right quantity. The Retail Allocator Analyst leverages sales, inventory, and performance data to make allocation decisions that support financial targets, inventory turn objectives, and seasonal merchandising strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Allocation Strategies: Manage inventory allocation and replenishment across the store fleet to support sales plans, inventory productivity, and profitability targets.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Planning Teams: Collaborate closely with the Buyer and Planning partners to align inventory investments with assortment strategies, product launches, seasonal initiatives, and business objectives
  • Analyze Business Performance and Optimize Inventory: Monitor sales, inventory, sell-through, size performance, and store trends to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and adjust allocation strategies accordingly.
  • Drive Replenishment and Inventory Flow Execution: Oversee replenishment programs, inventory balancing, store transfers, and allocation execution while partnering with Distribution Center and Operations teams to resolve inventory issues
  • Provide Business Insights and Support Retail Growth: Develop reporting and actionable insights to support decision-making, while planning inventory needs for new store openings, remodels, and key retail initiatives

Job Requirements:

Years of Related Professional Experience

2+ years of experience in:

  • Retail Allocation
  • Merchandise Planning
  • Inventory Management
  • Retail Analytics
  • Buying Support or Merchandising
  • Experience in apparel, footwear, outdoor, sporting goods, or fashion retail preferred.

Education & Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Related quantitative discipline
  • Experience working in a multi-store retail environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with allocation, planning, replenishment, and reporting systems.
  • Advanced English proficiency preferred.

  • Experience with allocation and merchandise planning systems
  • Ability to interpret sales, inventory, and forecast data
  • Dashboard and reporting experience (Power BI preferred)
