Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retail Buyer role based in Valletta.

As a Buyer, you will play an important role in selecting and managing the right products, styles and quantities to meet customer demand while supporting the brand’s commercial objectives. You will use sales performance, market insights and emerging trends to make informed buying decisions and help create exciting, commercially successful ranges.

 

Working closely with the Brand Manager, Buying Team, Store Teams, Visual Merchandising, and Warehouse Operations, you will follow the product journey from range planning and selection through to its performance in store.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Analyse sales and product performance to support effective buying decisions.
  • Keep up to date with market, product, lifestyle and consumer trends.
  • Assist in selecting and developing commercially successful product ranges.
  • Build and regularly review assortment plans, including sizing ratios, quantities and depth of range.
  • Monitor stock levels and product performance, identifying opportunities and taking action where necessary.
  • Work with colleagues to plan seasonal collections, new product launches and ongoing product introductions across stores and online.
  • Support the planning and preparation of promotions and end-of-season sales.
  • Ensure retail space and product allocation are aligned with sales performance and commercial priorities.
  • Work closely with stores and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure products are presented in line with brand standards.
  • Build strong working relationships across the business to ensure the right product reaches the right store at the right time.

 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who combines commercial awareness with a genuine interest in products and retail.

 

Ideally, you will have:

  • A strong interest in fashion, beauty and homeware.
  • A commercial and analytical mindset with confidence working with numbers and sales data.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel skills would be considered an asset.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in buying, merchandising, retail management, product management or a similar commercial retail role would be considered an advantage.
