ZIMMERMANN is seeking a passionate Retail Buyers Assistant to join our dynamic Retail Buying team at our Head Office in Sydney. This exciting role will support the Buying process across our Ready-To-Wear Collections.
About our role:
Reporting directly to the Retail Buying Director and working closely with our Ready-to-Wear Buyer, this role will assist with administrative tasks such as seasonal trend analysis, planning product assortments, and managing inventory for our global Ready-to-Wear collections. Establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams and our global retail network will be a key aspect of this role.
As our Retail Buyers Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare weekly and seasonal sales reports, identify best-selling products, and provide insights into store and regional performance.
Administrative Support: Collect product feedback, maintain line sheets, and oversee stock levels before and after seasonal launches. Provide general administrative support to the buying and planning team and other departments.
Buying Process Support: Participate in store visits, manage seasonal critical paths, coordinate with production and logistics teams, and conduct market analysis. Additionally, you will assist with tasks such as building stock packages, creating assortment plans, and managing sales and purchase orders.
What you will bring to the role:
At least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Retail Industry.
An eye for luxury products and commercial awareness
Demonstrated experience with sales, stock management, and allocations.
Computer literacy – Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Experience with ERP systems such as AP21 is highly regarded.
A strong work ethic, and can work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Is highly organised and can work to strict and often conflicting timelines.
Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
