At She Loves Me, we believe flowers have the power to make people feel seen, celebrated, and deeply loved. Our shop is a joyful, design-forward space run by a devoted and talented team—and we’re looking for a Retail Operations Director to help us bring that magic to life every single day.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on both structure and adaptability. You’ll be in the thick of it—supporting the floral team, assisting customers in the shop, interfacing with our courier to get flower deliveries out the door, and making sure every stem and system is cared for. You’re not just keeping things running—you’re helping us create meaningful moments for people across DC.
We’re a small but mighty team, and this is a role with real impact and room to grow. You’ll be close to the action, collaborating with our founder and team of designers to ensure every experience, bouquet, and interaction reflects our core values of kindness, creativity, and care.

What You’ll Do:
Lead Day-to-Day Operations
Oversee daily shop flow to ensure everything runs smoothly and beautifully
Manage delivery logistics and timing so every bouquet arrives on time and picture-perfect
Maintain inventory, reorder product, and keep the shop tidy and well-stocked
Build and manage the retail schedule, ensuring team members are informed and supported
Review shop reports and help implement solutions to keep things humming
Support the Team
Help onboard and train new shopkeepers
Offer real-time guidance and encouragement to the retail and studio crew
Communicate updates clearly across platforms and personalities
Lead with positivity, professionalism, and grace
Deliver a Top-Notch Customer Experience
Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, and over email with warmth and efficiency
Guide guests toward the right products or services with knowledge and care
Help manage pre- and post-workshop communication to ensure seamless experiences
Serve as a consistent and friendly in-person presence at our flagship shop
Keep Us Moving Forward
Help identify small ways to improve how we do things—from fulfillment to follow-up
Jump in on special projects when they arise
Collaborate with our founder to keep systems smart, people happy, and everything on brand
What You Bring:
2–5+ years of experience in retail, operations, or customer service roles
Comfort leading a team, solving problems, and managing competing priorities
A proactive mindset—you’re the type to notice what needs doing and take the lead
Familiarity with platforms like Shopify, Google Drive, and Slack (or quick to learn)
A sincere love for flowers, community, and the joy of creating memorable experiences
This is a part-time, in-person role based at our Eckington shop. You’ll work closely with the owner and a team of passionate creatives who care deeply about what they do—and about one another.
