Position- Retail Merchandising manager -Woven Fabrics/khadi/knits
Location-Bangalore
Experience-8+ Years
Education-Diploma in Textile or any degree in Textiles
Experience in Garment Industry with Woven Fabric
Note-Looking for Immediate Joiners/ Notice period less than 2 Months.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Analyze domestic market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities. • Develop and implement merchandising strategies tailored to the domestic market. • Identify and explore opportunities for expanding the domestic customer base. • Work with design and production teams to create collections that meet domestic market preferences. • Oversee sample development and ensure they meet quality and design expectations. • Align product offerings with seasonal trends and client requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic clients, including retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. • Act as the main point of contact for all sales team communications regarding product development, orders, and delivery schedules. • Address client feedback and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded. • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all orders to ensure timely delivery. • Oversee production schedules and work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality and efficiency. • Ensure all orders comply with agreed-upon specifications and timelines. • Prepare cost sheets, including fabric, trims, labour, and overheads. • Monitor budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets. • Lead and manage a team of merchandisers and coordinators, providing guidance and support. • Foster collaboration between design, production, and logistics teams to streamline processes. • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and efficiency. • Coordinate with suppliers for the timely procurement of raw materials. • Ensure an efficient supply chain to meet production and delivery deadlines. • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize resources. • Establish and monitor quality control processes to ensure garments meet required standards. • Address and resolve quality issues promptly to maintain customer trust. • Maintain detailed records of orders, production schedules, and client communications. • Prepare reports on business performance, order status, and market insights for senior management. • Monitor KPIs and suggest strategies for improvement
Qualifications:
• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Strong understanding of the domestic garment market, consumer trends, and supply chain processes. • Proven ability to manage client relationships and negotiate effectively. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in merchandising and ERP tools. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
