About Beauty 4U

Beauty 4U is a retail chain with over a dozen locations across the DMV, currently at a pivotal inflection point. We are moving beyond the traditional beauty supply model to reimagine the entire consumer experience. Our vision is to become the global authority for hair and all things beauty. We are looking for a visionary leader to help us redefine the beauty supply experience for the modern consumer.

The Role

At Beauty 4U, our Store Managers are the ultimate leaders of the brand vision. You are not just managing a retail space; you are fully "owning" your business. This role demands an entrepreneurial leader who thinks like an owner every single day—taking deep personal pride in your store's financial success, operational excellence, and cultural environment.

You will be responsible for translating high-level corporate strategies into flawless day-to-day operations. This role demands an inspiring leader who can build a high-energy team culture, keep associates deeply motivated, and cross-collaborate effectively with various corporate departments (Marketing, Data, HR) to ensure sales targets are consistently exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Ownership & Strategy (Priority #1): Treat the store as your own business. Own the total financial health of your location, driving the team to achieve and surpass daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Actively analyze performance metrics, think critically to solve local challenges, and pivot strategies to optimize revenue.
  • Team Motivation & Development: Recruit, onboard, and nurture top-tier talent. Keep store staff inspired and engaged through regular coaching, constructive feedback, and active floor leadership. Ensure employees are consistently following company guidelines, handling any operational or performance issues proactively and in accordance with company policy.
  • Brand & Visual Integrity: Ensure the store’s visual presentation is maintained to a prestige standard. Partner with the marketing and creative teams to execute window displays, floor sets, and promotional signage flawlessly, keeping shelves looking impeccable and full.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Actively work across corporate departments. Coordinate with the Data and Inventory teams for automated and specialized stock ordering, communicate real-time customer feedback to Marketing, and partner with the corporate office to seamlessly execute local store events and activations.
  • Prestige Customer Experience: Champion an elite level of guest services. Cultivate lasting client relationships, handle escalations with supreme professionalism, and lead the charge on local consumer acquisition and loyalty program enrollment (VIP Rewards).
  • Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee all logistics, including incoming deliveries, vendor purchase orders, inventory counts, and discrepancies. Maintain a hyper-organized stockroom to fuel efficient replenishment on the sales floor. Execute tight loss prevention and security protocols.
  • Operational Excellence: Supervise flawless opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation, register setups, and timely financial/sales reporting to headquarters. Maintain direct communication with regional facility vendors (HVAC, utilities, landlord) to keep the boutique functional and immaculate.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mindset: You must possess a true ownership mentality. We are looking for a self-starter who takes personal accountability for outcomes and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented, business-owner lens.
  • Experience: 3+ years of retail store management or high-volume assistant management experience, preferably within a premium beauty, fashion, or specialty retail brand (e.g., Ulta, Sephora, cosmetics counters).
  • Core Traits: You must be a true go-getter, hard worker, and highly resilient leader with a decisive "make it happen" attitude. We are looking for a professional who possesses absolute grit—someone who is naturally solution-oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. At the same time, you must remain inherently kind, polite, and collaborative with your team and peers.
  • Leadership Prowess: Proven track record of building, motivating, and retaining a diverse, multi-cultural sales team. Outstanding ability to delegate tasks effectively and foster an energetic, sales-driven workplace culture.
  • Business Acumen: Highly data-literate. Experienced in reviewing store P&L indicators, managing local expense budgets, and utilizing inventory management systems.
  • Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency with modern retail POS systems, merchant payment terminals (Clover a plus), and store productivity tools.
  • The Beauty Mindset: Deep passion for and knowledge of the hair and beauty landscape. Familiarity with specialty hair textures, wigs, extensions, and diverse beauty needs is highly preferred.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holiday periods.

Why Join Us?

  • This is a rare opportunity to step into an established, regional powerhouse at the exact moment of its prestige transformation. As a Store Manager, you will be given the autonomy to truly run your house and change the narrative around the beauty supply experience for thousands of consumers. If you are an inspiring leader who wants to combine creative beauty culture with strong business ownership, we want to hear from you.
