PURPOSE

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring optimal performance in areas such as stock management, staff supervision, customer service, and store presentation. The role is critical in driving the store’s success while maintaining high standards of service and compliance with company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Management:

Receive and accurately capture incoming stock.

Assist in conducting regular stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.

Handle stock exchanges and returns, ensuring proper documentation and timely action.

Capture and return damaged or dirty products to the warehouse, maintaining proper records.

Staff Management:

Lead, supervise, and motivate store staff to meet performance goals.

Ensure staff are well-trained on product knowledge, customer service, and company policies.

Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during store hours.

Address any staff-related issues and foster a positive work environment.

Day-to-Day Operations:

Oversee the smooth running of all store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Handle customer complaints efficiently, aiming to resolve issues promptly.

Maintain the store’s cleanliness, security, and overall visual presentation.

Customer Service:

Ensure exceptional customer service standards are upheld.

Assist customers with inquiries, product selections, and returns.

Build positive relationships with regular customers to encourage repeat business.

Visual Merchandising & Store Displays:

Organize and maintain appealing store displays in line with visual merchandising guidelines.

Ensure that all products are well-displayed and easily accessible to customers.

Stay updated on new launches, products, and promotions, ensuring staff are informed.

Compliance & Procedures:

Keep up to date with all company policies, procedures, and launches.

Ensure that store staff are also aligned with the latest updates and protocols.

Implement and monitor store security procedures to prevent theft or loss.

Reporting & Analysis:

Monitor sales performance and provide feedback to the team and Senior Management to reach targets.

Update Senior Management or HR of any staff issues.

Reporting of any suspicious behaviour i.e. fraud and theft, internally and externally to management.

Skills and Requirements

Proven 2 – 3 years working experience in retail management.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Knowledge of stock management systems and retail software is an advantage e.g. Shopify.

Own transport to the store is required.
