Retail Visual Merchandising Team Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and present visual displays in a compelling and exciting manner with direction from Supervisor and Management.
- Accessorize displays using items such as props, lamps, throws, and area rugs.
- Pull merchandise to set up visual representations throughout the showroom floor
- Construct, paint, set up, install, hang banners and panels, as well as other items using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, staple guns, ladders, scissors, nails, spray paint, spray glue and knives.
- Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotion displays.
- Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays and space utilization.
- Must have an understanding of accessories and colors, patterns, and textures. Must have experience in mannequin styling.
- Confident utilizing power tools when necessary, while following all safety precautions
- Experience training and supervising others
- Capable of multitasking with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-directed when working independently
- Organize and time-management to contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic, creative environment
- Communicate with the Store Manager regarding display & styling to best engage our customers and our brand.
- Document any visual or safety issues concerning fixtures, mannequins and visual elements within the store and communicate this information to the supervisor
- Participate in store openings and store closings as required
Retail Visual Merchandise Team Job Requirements
- 1+ years retail/visual merchandising experience in retail environment
- Merchandising and visual presentation experience in a retail environment required
- Refined interpersonal communication style with effective verbal and written skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Honest, reliable and trustworthy
- Team player when collaborating with others
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent (Formal education Not Necessary but + BS degree in art, design, visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, visual communications or similar.)
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more (ladders, fixtures, etc.) and climb/stand atop a ladder
- Travel required between stores, must have Valid Driver’s License and own transportation
- May require out of state travel
- Must be available days and evenings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
