ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Assistant plays a key role in supporting the sales team by managing international correspondence, assisting with design and product development, tracking orders, and maintaining buyer relationships. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

China Correspondence

  • Work with overseas teams and factories to secure quotes, request samples, and source new products.
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure alignment on specifications and timelines.

Design Support

  • Collaborate with designers on CADs, project timelines, and creative packaging solutions.
  • Propose innovative ways to differentiate existing products.
  • Assist in sourcing and pulling prints for design projects.

Order Tracking

  • Coordinate with factories to manage production schedules and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Review and approve samples to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

Order Processing

  • Support timely picking, routing, and shipping of orders to meet delivery commitments.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the order fulfillment process.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Update and manage inventory records using Excel spreadsheets.

Buyer Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers through consistent communication.
  • Address buyer inquiries promptly and provide updates on new product offerings.
  • Support daily communication to enhance customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.

Item Setup / Product Setup

  • Assist in creating style numbers and UPCs for new products.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of retailer portals for product listings.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of design processes, market trends, or wholesale operations is a plus.
  • Experience with international correspondence or supply chain coordination preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3+ years of wholesale production, sales or related experience
