Kelly has an amazing opportunity for a driven Sales Assistant to join a leading 3rd party Health Benefits Administrator based out of their Brooklyn, NY or Manhattan location. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a pay rate range of $26-32 per hour based on experience, an excellent benefits package, and a hybrid schedule. In this role you will assist with processing and preparing self-funded benefit RFPs as well as perform benefit plan analysis and sales support in additional to acting as a liaison with internal teams from the sales to successful implementation of new and renewing clients.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Evaluate RFP (Request for Proposal) submissions, pinpoint missing information, and edit or format census and reports to ensure data is systematically organized and stored correctly.
Request claims reports from carriers and assess the claims data.
Work with internal teams to gather essential information for completing submissions.
Compile RFPs for client renewals or potential groups, incorporating employee census data, current/renewal plan details and rates, along with historical claims experience.
Develop marketing results spreadsheets and provide recommendations.
Create proposal presentations for brokers or clients, including cost and benefit analyses.
Facilitate the transition of sold accounts to operations, implementation, and the account management team.
Serve as an intermediary between brokers and account management.
Support account management during implementation and assist in financial and additional projects.
Construct final financial models and billing forms for all sold accounts.
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of experience in client or account management within medical insurance, or in related fields such as sales, administrative support, or marketing.
Comprehensive knowledge of benefits insurance, including experience on the broker or carrier side, with an understanding of self-funding and stop-loss reinsurance markets.
Proficient in standard software applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Maintains confidentiality and practices discretion.
Effectively identifies and resolves issues by skillfully gathering and analyzing information.
Shares knowledge with colleagues through efficient communication and follow-ups.
Follows instructions, is receptive to feedback, and seeks improvement.

Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
