About the Role
We’re hiring an experienced sales associate for our women’s clothing store in downtown Manhattan. You’ll be the face of the store — helping clients find pieces that fit their style, building a loyal client base, and keeping the floor sharp — and a keyholder trusted to open and close.
What You’ll Do
- Greet, style, and close — guide clients from walk-in to purchase and upsell complementary pieces.
- Build a repeat client base through follow-up, personal appointments, and phone/remote assistance.
- Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets.
- Open and close the store: register setup, cash drawer balancing, and end-of-day security.
- Maintain merchandising, displays, and stock so the floor is always presentable.
- Handle POS transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Know the product — new arrivals, fabrics, fit, and styling — and share it confidently.
Required
- 3+ years of sales experience in a clothing or fashion retail store, women’s apparel preferred.
- Prior keyholder or opening/closing responsibility.
- Proven ability to hit sales goals and build a personal client book.
- Strong sense of style and knowledge of fit and fabrication.
- Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math.
- Availability for weekends and peak retail periods.
Preferred
- Bilingual.
- Experience supervising or leading the floor during busy periods.
Compensation: $60K base + commission on personal sales.
Pay: $17.70 – $20.40 per hour
