Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at 180 the Store in New York, NY. This position oversees day-to-day floor operations, including leading sales associates, driving sales performance, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The Sales Manager maintains visual standards and coordinates product placement to reflect current brand partners. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, handling customer requests, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with receiving and overseeing stockroom organization. The role also involves coaching staff on sales techniques, tracking key performance metrics, and collaborating with leadership on in-store events and promotional activities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years of leadership experience within luxury fashion, luxury retail, or a design-driven retail environment.
  • A genuine appreciation for craftsmanship, quality, and contemporary design.
  • Exceptional clienteling skills with a proven ability to cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in retail sales leadership, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or concept-store environments.
  • Strong skills in customer service, clienteling, and relationship building to support a premium in-store experience.
  • Ability to manage daily store operations, including staff coordination, scheduling support, and floor supervision.
  • Experience with merchandising, visual display standards, and supporting brand installations and events.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, basic inventory management, and sales reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing collections and brand partners.
  • Flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and peak retail periods as needed.
