Job Overview
REQUIREMENTS:
Completed or within 100 hours of completing Cosmetology or Barbering school
Less than 1.5 years Cosmetology Barbering experience
Passion for environmental and social justice activism
18 years of age or older
Ability to read, write and speak English (bilingual is a bonus) and operate a computer, operate light machinery, lift up to 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time, perform tasks with reasonable accomodation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Phi Eco Salon is North East Floridas premier, luxury sustainable salon. We are seeking one apprentice to join our team for an amazing growth focused, hands-on educational opportunity.
The apprentice will work alongside our team of diversely talented stylists to learn how to become a well rounded stylist in a high-end spa environment, able to take on any challenge that presents itself. Learn custom blonding, fantasy colors, precision and razor cutting, along with working with a wide variety of textures from extremely curly to smooth and sleek.
We offer a variety of spa enhancement services such as facial waxing, targeted scalp treatments, therapeutic massage and facial skin care services all using sustainable, vegan, gluten free, organic and biodynamic products.
DUTIES
Opening and closing the store
Cash handling
Customer service
Aiding in color, cut and treatment services
Fulfilling educational goals
Hands on training and client building
Assisting with community involvement opportunities (charity events, community education and wellness experiences, pop-up market events, community outreach and fundraising)
Building and maintaining social media presence
Contributing positively to salon culture
Completing assigned cleaning duties
Attending mandatory educational events
Completing educational testing
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will be placed as a level 1 stylist.
