Apprentice Stylist (Full-Time) at Gem House Salon – Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Gem House is a growing boutique salon in the heart of Greenpoint, and we’re looking to bring on a full-time apprentice to join our creative and supportive team.
This is the ideal opportunity for a passionate, motivated individual who is eager to learn, grow, and develop into a future stylist. We’re a team that values education, collaboration, and delivering an elevated guest experience—and we’re looking for someone who shares that vision.
What You’ll Get:

Hourly Pay: $16.50/hour with room to grow
(Plus tips and regular check-ins for raises based on performance and growth)
Starting Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
Availability to work weekends as needed
Your Responsibilities:
Create a warm, welcoming environment for all guests
Assist stylists with color prep, shampooing, glosses, treatments, etc.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized salon environment
Support with daily set-up, breakdown, and light front desk duties
Capture content and assist with salon social media (after-photos, trends, etc.)
Requirements:
A current NY State Cosmetology License
Open to feedback, coaching, and being part of a collaborative team
Positive, professional attitude and a love for the beauty industry
