About Us
The House on Lovers is a high-end, high-volume boutique salon. We cater to the upper echelon of Dallas’ elite—conveniently located nearly West Lovers Lane and the Tollway. We specialize in natural coloring, advanced cutting, human hair extensions, and timeless styling for our exclusive clients. We focus on good energy, a strong united vision, and providing a great experience for guests and employees.
We are a departmentalized commission-based salon with a highly-educated and trained staff—we are extremely busy. Seeking stylish, chic, outgoing, kind and career-oriented apprentice/assistants to join our team. You must be licensed a licensed cosmetologist.
This Role
Seeking highly motivated and passionate apprentice/assistants to join our color program. As an apprentice/assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-end, upscale environment and learn from industry-leading professionals. Our apprentice program is 12 months of scheduled, detailed hands-on education. Upon graduation from the program, our goal is for you to join us as a full-time service provider. The 12-month commitment consists of mandatory weekly education that focuses on your specialty and teaches you our signature techniques. A dollar amount cannot be placed on the value of training and learning achieved in this role.
Location
This is not a hybrid or remote position. You must have the ability to commute to and from work.
Education / Upward Mobility
Weekly mandatory classes with senior colorists/stylists require you to bring in a model (approximately 30 models during the entire 12-month program.) Our goal is for you to transition to a full-time position with us on the floor. This is a career, not a job. The days are long and full time hours are required. Our schedules are Monday through Friday and Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
Welcome and greet guests with a warm professionalism; ensure exceptional customer experience from the moment they enter the salon
Assist senior colorists with their clientele
Maintain Salon cleanliness and organization; ensure a comfortable and luxurious environment for guests and team members
Observe and learn from experienced professionals
Weekly hands-on models guided by our in-house Color Director
Requirements
MUST BE A LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST
Passion for the beauty industry and a strong desire to be the best
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Must be a consummate professional with incredible attention to detail
Positive no-drama attitude
Ability to be stylish and outgoing
