As a Salon Assistant, you will support our talented stylists while gaining hands-on experience in the beauty industry. This role is essential for ensuring exceptional service for our guests and contributes to the overall success of our salon.
Responsibilities
Assist stylists with daily tasks, including preparing clients for services and maintaining a clean work environment.
Manage salon software for appointment scheduling and client records.
Support hair extension applications and other styling services as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Help maintain inventory levels of products and supplies used in the salon.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in hair care techniques and customer service.
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by mentoring new staff members.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a salon.
Valid cosmetology license from New Jersey.
Familiarity with salon software for scheduling and client management is highly desirable.
Knowledge of hair extensions, color theory, and basic styling techniques is essential.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on beauty trends.
