Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our team. As a Salon Assistant, you will provide support to our senior stylists, ensuring that our salon operations run smoothly and that our clients receive exceptional service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the beauty industry and who wants to kick-start their career in a professional salon environment.
Responsibilities
Assist our stylists with hair services, including shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying, mixing and applying color.
Laundry duties.
Greet clients and offer them refreshments while they wait for their appointments.
Maintain a clean and organized salon environment, ensuring that towels, common areas, color room and back bar supplies are stocked and clean.
Assist front desk when needed by scheduling client appointments and handle phone inquiries with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
Will train in our online booking system, knowledge in computers is needed..
Keep track of inventory and notify management when supplies need to be restocked.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
Requirements
NJ Cosmetology Permit or License is REQUIRED.
Previous experience working in a salon or beauty-related environment is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of haircare products and techniques.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
A friendly and personable demeanor, with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior stylists.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
