JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Salon Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in running the salon and creating a fun, engaging experience for customers and a positive experience for team members. This role involves supervising staff, handling customer service, performing haircuts & styling, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in managing salon staff, scheduling, and daily operations.
Performs professional kid’s cuts, styling, and related services.
Builds positive customer relationships, provides excellent customer service, and resolves customer’s concerns.
Support sales, product offerings, and marketing efforts to drive business growth.
Oversees inventory management and product restocking.
Trains and mentors team members to maintain high service standards.
Prepares daily shifts, based on demand and scheduled appointments
Handles cash management, sales reporting, and deposits.
Ensures the salon maintains cleanliness and follows all safety regulations.
Ensures opening and closing responsibilities are maintained
Works at least 2 weekend shifts per month
Works at least 2 evening shifts per week (until 8pm)
Steps in for the General Manager when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Cosmetology License for Missouri
Relevant salon experience
Experience working with kids and families
