Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Team Leader 25+ years of age to join our company. The ideal candidate must be capable of opening and closing the salon 2pm-9pm Wed-Fri, 9am-4pm Sat & Sun as well as overseeing and coordinating team activities, ensuring smooth operations & high productivity levels for a team of hair stylists.
Duties:
– Manage and supervise team members, providing guidance and support as needed
– Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process
– Handle administrative tasks scheduling clients and running reports
– Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members
– Manage shifts effectively to ensure optimal coverage
– Price and sell products/services to customers
– Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
-Assist stylist as needed to keep the salon running smoothly. This includes braiding down, beading and prepping hair as needed.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in supervising or leading a team
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills
– Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
– Proficient in shift management and ensuring operational efficiency
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse teams
– Knowledge of interviewing techniques and hiring procedures
-Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Great at working with children and adults
-Knowledge of hair styling techniques to include washing, blow drying, and braiding
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve customer and employee issues while maintaining professionalism
-Light housekeeping to ensure the salon is clean and well stocked at all times
