We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Loctician to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn natural hair styling techniques with a speciality in sista locs and micro locs. A flair for creativity, ensuring that each client leaves feeling confident and satisfied. As a Hair Stylist trained, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, hair care services, some administrative and marketing service while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality natural hair care and styling assisting services, including shampooing, conditioning, cutting, coloring, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and techniques to offer clients innovative options.
Sanitate tools and workstations according to health and safety regulations to ensure a clean environment.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
Assist with retail sales of hair care products, utilizing retail math knowledge to manage inventory effectively.
Perform additional services such as eyelash extensions and nail care as needed, enhancing the overall client experience.
Utilize Square software for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing transactions.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive atmosphere in the salon.
Skills
Knowledge of various loc technique, hair styling techniques, including cutting, coloring, and barbering.
Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
Experience in retail sales within the beauty industry is preferred.
Ability to sanitize tools and maintain cleanliness in accordance with industry standards.
Familiarity with Microsoft office and scheduling software is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
A passion for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
