Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sample Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment construction and fabricating samples for various clothing lines. This role requires proficiency in using sewing machines and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality standards are met. As a Sample Maker, you will play a crucial role in the development of new products, working closely with designers and production teams to bring concepts to life.
Duties
- Fabricate samples based on design specifications and technical sketches.
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct garment samples.
- Collaborate with designers to understand the vision and requirements for each sample.
- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Maintain an organized workspace within the warehouse, ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the sample-making process, providing solutions as needed.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in garment construction and fabricating samples is preferred.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and understanding various sewing techniques.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A passion for fashion and an understanding of current trends is beneficial.
