We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and a strong understanding of sewing techniques. This role involves working with various fabrics and materials to create, alter, and repair garments while ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Construct, alter, and repair garments according to specifications and customer requests.
Operate sewing machines and other equipment efficiently to produce high-quality products.
Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and make necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with the design team to understand garment requirements and timelines.
Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering sewing solutions.
Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and techniques to enhance skills and product offerings.
Skills
Proficient in garment construction techniques, alterations and sewing machine operation.
Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabric cutting and garment fitting.
Experience in fashion retail is a plus, providing insight into customer preferences and trends.
Ability to sew with precision, ensuring high-quality finishes on all garments.
Excellent customer service skills, fostering positive interactions with clients — fluent in English.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, essential for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
