Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of garment construction. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering, repairing, and customizing garments to meet the specific needs of our customers. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will interact directly with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the final product.
Duties
Perform alterations on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear.
Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to complete adjustments and repairs.
Assess customer needs by providing consultations on fit and style preferences.
Maintain high-quality standards in all alterations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Keep an organized workspace and maintain sewing equipment in good working condition.
Collaborate with fashion retail staff to understand current trends and customer demands.
Utilize basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements accurately.
Experience
Proven experience in tailoring or garment alteration is preferred.
Familiarity with sewing machines and various sewing techniques is essential.
Previous experience in customer service within the fashion retail industry is a plus.
Knowledge of garment construction principles will be beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
