Full Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress or Tailor to join our team. We currently produce quilted bags, dresses, accessories and more in India and are looking to bring our manufacturing on-site by hiring a seamstress or tailor. This is a great position for someone looking for a flexible schedule. The pay will be per item completed, and as long as deadlines are met you can work hours of your choice. Some weeks will have a higher demand than others. Sewing machine, fabrics and materials will be provided. Possibility to work from home.
Duties:
– Create patterns and produce custom clothing & accessories in different sizes
– Use sewing machines, embroidery machines, and other tools to complete jobs
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
– Collaborate with team members to design new products and meet production goals
Skills:
– Proficient in sewing techniques, fabric knowledge and garment construction
– Experience using sewing machines, embroidery machines sergers, and other tailoring tools
– Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
– Attention to detail to ensure quality completion
– Knowledge of fashion retail industry trends and styles
Interview Process:
-After in person interview we may require a test product to be completed for quality and skill review.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
