Seamstress Tailor Jobs in New York at Urban Zen
We are seeking a highly skilled full-time seamstress to join our team at Urban Zen. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with fine fabrics and stretch materials, and possesses a strong technical understanding of garment construction and pattern making. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and quality.
Responsibilities include executing garments from patterns and samples, handling delicate and specialty fabrics with care, and maintaining the highest standard of construction and finish. The seamstress will work closely with the design and development team to bring concepts to life, assist with fittings and alterations, and help refine patterns and prototypes when needed.
The ideal candidate has a strong sense for pattern making, excellent sewing skills across a range of fabric types, and the ability to execute pieces in a timely and organized manner in a fast-paced studio environment. Attention to detail, strong time management, and a commitment to luxury-level workmanship are essential.
Previous experience working in luxury fashion, atelier, or sample room environments is highly preferred this energetic role.
Temporary to permant option available.
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
