Duties
Perform alterations on various types of garments, ensuring precise fit and finish.
Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations and repairs.
Collaborate with customers to understand their specific tailoring needs and preferences.
Provide exceptional customer service by offering style advice and garment care tips.
Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fitting of garments.
Maintain an organized workspace, keeping tools and materials in order.
Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques in garment construction.
Requirements
Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
Experience in fashion retail is preferred, with a strong understanding of garment construction.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to alterations.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
