As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering, repairing, and creating garments to meet customer specifications. Your expertise in sewing and customer service will ensure that each client receives the highest quality of work and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear.
- Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations.
- Assess garment construction and make necessary adjustments for fit and style.
- Provide excellent customer service by consulting with clients about their tailoring needs.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
- Keep up-to-date with fashion trends to provide clients with informed recommendations.
- Handle basic math calculations for measurements and fabric requirements.
Experience
- Previous experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred.
- Proficiency in garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation is essential.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to garment alterations.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
