POSITION SUMMARY
The Seasonal Product Development Associate will be reporting to the Director of Product Development and will be responsible for supporting the Rare Beauty PD team through day-to-day activities for the development of various projects.
This part-time, temporary role will be a part of our annual, immersive Summer Associate Program and will run from late May/early June to late August/early September 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
With the support of a PD lead, review batch samples, shade matching and production standards from contract manufacturers.
Preparing product samples for internal presentations and retailer meetings, partnering with a PD lead to ensure all products are labeled correctly and ready to use.
Cataloging and organizing inventory of product samples including competitive benchmarks and innovation samples.
Assisting with shipping and retrieving packages
Available for arm swatches and internal photography needs
Helping team achieve day-to-day milestones and providing general administrative support
Participating in product testing if shared and providing concise feedback
Sharing views/opinions on social trends and competitive analysis
Creating monthly trend reports and mood boards for future seasonal launches
Support in general office maintenance/organization
Assist with sample organization
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Strong interest for building a career in the beauty industry and is passionate about make up and personal care
A self-motivated team player interested in learning about the development process of products.
Independent, detail-oriented, and well-organized individual who thrives working in a lively environment
Flexible personality to take on new challenges as they come and switch gears when necessary
Must have great organizational skills and a sense of urgency
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team and cross functionally.
Must be available to be in the El Segundo based office generally twice a week and able to work up to 30 hours weekly
