Position Overview
We are looking for a Selling Assistant who thrives in fast-paced environments, collaborates enthusiastically, is eager to learn about luxury retail, and can manage multiple tasks to join the Women’s Fine Apparel Team.
This role provides the opportunity to work closely with Sellers and engage with both scheduled and walk-in clients, including VIP clientele, delivering a personalized and exceptional luxury shopping experience. You will assist with premier designer collections such as Oscar de la Renta, Schiaparelli, Akris, and Giorgio Armani, ensuring the boutique maintains the highest standards of service and presentation. This position is ideal for someone passionate about luxury fashion, eager to grow their career, and comfortable providing professional service in a refined retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Sellers in preparing for and delivering customized client appointments
Welcome and engage walk-in clients with warmth and professionalism
Comfortably support and maintain discretion with VIP clients and high-profile customers
Manage appointment scheduling and client communications efficiently
Maintain and update detailed client profiles using clienteling tools
Accurately process sales transactions and provide post-sale support, including order follow-up and thank-you notes
Support digital selling initiatives and boutique social media engagement
Assist with seasonal merchandising, in-store events, and gifting activations
Ensure merchandise is returned to stock promptly and that the boutique is impeccably presented
Maintain organized and clean selling spaces and fitting rooms
Stay knowledgeable on product collections, industry trends, and POS/clienteling technology
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience; luxury retail preferred
Genuine passion for women’s fine apparel and designer fashion
Comfortable assisting and maintaining professionalism with VIP clients
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Poised, professional demeanor with attention to detail
Adaptable and solution-oriented in a dynamic retail environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
