Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Apparel Merchandiser role based in New Delhi with a mandatory 2-year bond. The Apparel Merchandiser will coordinate between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage product development, sampling, and bulk production. Daily tasks include tracking orders, monitoring timelines, preparing costings, negotiating prices, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the production cycle. The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, managing approvals, and following up on shipments and delivery schedules. The Apparel Merchandiser will also support client communication, respond to inquiries, and help identify trends and opportunities to optimize assortments and sales.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate effectively with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Customer service and client relationship management skills to handle queries, feedback, and ongoing support.
- Sales and retail knowledge, with an understanding of merchandising, assortments, and consumer preferences.
- Basic marketing awareness to support product positioning, presentation, and brand alignment.
- Experience in apparel merchandising, buying house operations, or garment production coordination is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple orders, timelines, and priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other basic office software for reporting, cost sheets, and order tracking.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Textiles, Merchandising, Business, or a related field is advantageous.
