Full Job Description
Title- Senior Contemporary Designer- Women’s knits and wovens
Location: New York, NY- Hybrid
Description
A well-established Ladies contemporary Brand is searching for a Senior Designer for immediate hire. Must have a Contemporary aesthetic designing knits and wovens. Develop and create vision for new product line assortments collaborating with the cross functional team. Strong tops experience is a plus. Lead the team with design concept and product assortments.
Respopnsibilities
Manage the design and development for knits and wovens.
Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement.
Develop design strategies and execution for knit and woven tops.
Involved in all product development and sales meeting projecting future fabrications.
Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.
Develop time and action calendars for programs.
Prepare trend boards for management meetings.
Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details, and costing
Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance.
Approve lab dips, new fabric developments and the general flow of the process.
Qualifications
5 plus years of experience in apparel production and development
Knowledge and understanding of knit and woven fabrics.
Proficiency in illustrator and Photoshop
Problem-solving abilities meeting deadlines.
Microsoft Office Programs
BA Degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
