Your ResponsibilitiesSalary €55.000 – €85.000 per annum (depending on experience)As a Senior Women’s Denim Designer at Esprit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our denim collections. Your key responsibilities include
Collaborating with the Design and Product Development teams to create exceptional denim collections across various seasons and development phases. This entails working closely on fabric selection, wash techniques, trims, technical aspects, and garment fit.
Taking ownership of supplier briefings to guide development efforts in line with collection strategies and size requirements.
Crafting market-appropriate collections tailored to specific target groups, and meticulously tracking their progress until they are ready for sale. This responsibility covers a defined product group or collection.
Innovating and developing new silhouettes and shapes to keep our denim offerings fresh and appealing to our customers.
Sketching out collection ideas and providing comprehensive technical descriptions, including the creation of sample worksheets (tech packs), and integrating them into our corporate system.
Conducting in-depth trend research and keeping a keen eye on market dynamics, with the flexibility to visit suppliers when necessary.
Demonstrating a deep understanding of the Esprit brand and heritage, as this role is exclusively responsible for all women’s denim products, including tops and bottoms.
Your Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills
A degree in fashion design, complemented by a minimum of 7 years of experience as a fashion designer or in a comparable role within the denim industry.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
A solid background in design, wash techniques, and product development.
Expertise in garment fit and the ability to enhance it.
Proficiency in design software, including Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong conceptual thinking skills and the ability to translate ideas into tangible designs.
A deep appreciation and understanding of the new Esprit design aesthetic.
A keen sense of fabric quality and wash techniques, with a discerning eye for garment construction and workmanship.
Enthusiastic, passionate, well-organized, and an effective communicator.
