POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Product Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of brand and product marketing initiatives. This leader sits at the intersection of brand building, innovation, consumer insights, and commercial growth, translating business priorities into compelling consumer experiences that drive awareness, engagement, conversion, and long-term brand equity. The ideal candidate combines strong brand instincts, product marketing expertise, commercial acumen, and operational rigor, while thriving in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy

  • Develop and lead global brand marketing strategies that strengthen brand equity, consumer engagement, and business growth
  • Define and evolve brand positioning, messaging architecture, and storytelling frameworks across all consumer touchpoints
  • Ensure consistency of brand expression while maintaining agility to capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Drive initiatives that increase awareness, loyalty, advocacy, and long-term consumer connection

Product Strategy & Innovation

  • Partner with the Chief Brand Officer and the SVP of Product Development to establish strategies across existing and future product categories, identifying opportunities for growth, expansion, and innovation
  • Identify white space opportunities through consumer insights, social listening, competitive analysis, market research, and trend forecasting
  • Lead the identification of product positioning, claims development, pricing strategy, assortment planning, and portfolio optimization
  • Ensure innovation pipelines address consumer needs, retailer priorities, and business objectives while maintaining competitive advantage
  • Oversee .com PDP strategy and execution, ensuring best-in-class assets and copy are delivered for each seasonal and limited-edition launch.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Brand & Product Marketing team, ensuring accountability, collaboration, curiosity, innovation, and executional excellence.
  • Build strong partnerships across cross functional teams including Creative, Product Development, Sales, Retail Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
  • Create scalable processes that improve efficiency without sacrificing agility
  • Serve as a strategic influencer capable of aligning stakeholders at all levels around shared priorities and business goals
  • Collaborate with Sales and Retail Marketing to create channel-specific strategies that elevate brand presence and drive conversion at key retail partners.

Go-to-Market

  • Partner with cross functional marketing leaders on the development and execution of integrated go-to-market strategies for all major product launches and category initiatives
  • Translate product strategies into compelling consumer-facing narratives that drive awareness, education, consideration, and conversion
  • Support in launch planning across marketing, sales, retail, e-commerce, creative, and commercial teams
  • Ensure launches are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives

Business Performance & Analytics

  • Manage brand and product marketing budgets, ensuring efficient deployment of resources and achievement of financial goals
  • Establish reporting frameworks and KPIs that connect marketing activity to business performance
  • Monitor brand health, launch performance, campaign effectiveness, and category trends
  • Leverage consumer insights, performance data, and market intelligence to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Develop executive-level business reviews, strategic recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Manage ad hoc projects and take on additional responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, product marketing, innovation, category management, or integrated marketing leadership
  • Beauty, skincare, cosmetics, personal care, luxury, fashion, or consumer products experience strongly preferred
  • Proven success developing and executing brand-building and product marketing strategies that drive measurable business results
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, category dynamics, retail environments, and emerging marketing trends
  • Strong expertise in product positioning, messaging, and storytelling
  • Strong analytical, financial, and business planning capabilities, including budget management and performance measurement
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and influence cross-functional partners
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities.
  • Passionate about beauty, brand building, and creating exceptional consumer experiences.
