About This Role

The Senior Director, RBE will be responsible for leading the RBE/Visual Merchandising teams that execute the instore product and storytelling experience in China. Leading a large & multifunction team, this role will oversee all strategies for Visual Merchandising, in-store marketing (always-on, campaigns, various type of store), and NSOs. Working closely with merchandising, retail stores, brand, and store development, they will deliver an exceptional in store brand experience for the region.

Core Responsibilities

Lead the concepting, development and implementation of China regional visual merchandising and retail experience strategies

Drive planning, Visual Merchandising layout, and store opening execution of all new stores, revitalizations, pop ups, and seasonal stores

Manage the regional Visual Merchandising team, supporting and developing the team and driving an elevated level of brand and product storytelling across the regional fleet close to 200 stores, with ~25 NSOs every year, flagship, pop-up and emerging channels such as douyin livestreaming

Develop, inspire & coach a high-level of talent to drive and execute on company goals in a product-led business. Provide sound leadership in a fast-paced, high growth entrepreneurial environment

Create and manage the brand and product storytelling vision, strategy and initiatives, ensuring an exceptional guest experience in all stores. Ensure Retail Brand Experience strategies support and drive Brand, Product Merchandising, and Channel strategies

Lead, train and develop a team of retail storytellers (including VM specialist in stores) by challenging and inspiring them to continually look for new opportunities to increase sales through appealing and effective visual displays. Foster a big picture process improvement focused environment

Oversee all visual merchandising, retail concept development, seasonal brand initiative activation and product launch experience across the global marketplace and drive all executional capabilities that support our goal of being the leading experiential brand on the planet

Oversee the development of all windows, signage, visual merchandising, and all seasonal and 365 product storytelling strategies

In close partnership with Design, Brand, Merchandising, Allocations and Stores, ensure seasonal product stories are communicated through compelling visual merchandising, communication, and display

Collaborate with teams to ensure an efficient and accurate flow of product in order to support sales targets, assortment mix and approved sell thru targets

Collaborate with cross functional leaders to identify and implement solutions to store layout and fixture opportunities

Qualifications

10+ years of experience leading visual merchandising, retail marketing, retail design, and experience design for a consumer-focused global brand

Strong management and leadership experience, creating and developing high performing global teams

Global focus and or multiple region focus required

Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional team.

Entrepreneurial mindset – experience in making critical business decisions and taking calculated risks.

Excellent communication skills in a highly collaborative environment and storytelling at retail.
