We are looking for a strong Designer with experience in working intoddler or older kidswearcategory. The job holder will be responsible for managing the design process from concept/product development to finalization of style. His/her key tasks would include trend & market research, presentation to buyer, fabric, styling and print creation & selection.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Research
Identify consumer preferences and trends and translate them into styles and products that relate to their needs.
Research global markets in order to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, etc.
Gather information from Industry trade groups or through trade shows or market research.
Product Design
Define the product architecture and key steps in the process of product design and development.
Participate in conceptual development of product lines (i.e., sell ideas/concepts and convince others to adopt course of action).
Ensure that the product is consistent with market trends as well as relates to market demands, company image and business strategy.
Oversee brand clarity and parity to ensure consistency of brands across businesses.
Provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc.
Provide insights regarding style and fit of product.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in Fashion/ Print/ Graphic Designing
Minimum 5 years’ design experience.
Proven track record in girls wear, with strong knowledge about fabric, trends etc.
Should have previous experience working for retail or supplier within kidswear market.
Strong sense of colour, garment and graphic direction.
