Pay Rate: $36.50 – $41.50 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a Lead Assortment Planner to join our team for a 9-month contract role with the possibility of extension. In this position, you will be responsible for establishing clear, end-to-end bottom-up merchandise plans to ensure that consumer demand is met, and a healthy pull market is maintained. The success of this team relies on collaborative, detail-oriented professionals who can manage style and franchise plans to optimize sales, margin, and sustainable growth across the marketplace. As a Lead Assortment Planner, you’ll address difficult issues, develop innovative ideas, and drive success by understanding the consumer’s business.

️ What Will You Work On?

Develop and implement a robust assortment planning framework that includes product depth, flow, and SKU efficiency.

Provide marketplace consumer insights to curate the optimal product line.

Build bottom-up forecasts to inform pre-season decisions and perform weekly sales analysis to identify risks and opportunities.

Collaborate with marketplace teams and retail partners to manage performance.

Provide post-season assortment insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Who Will You Work With?

You will report to the CFoP Planning Director and collaborate closely with cross-functional account teams. You’ll also engage the retailer’s buying and planning teams in both weekly and seasonal conversations. Strong communication and collaboration skills are key to success in this role, as you will be driving action and results internally and externally.

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Retail, Marketing, or related field.

5+ years of retail planning experience in a vertical retail or wholesale environment.

Merchandise planning experience is highly desirable.

Strong Excel skills are essential.

A comprehensive understanding of retail math is required.

Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work across a matrixed environment.

Nice to Have:

At least 2-3 years of experience in assortment planning.

Familiarity with the o9 system (training will be provided).

Interview Process:
