Job Summary:
As a Senior Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandise plans that align with company goals. You will analyze sales trends, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute financial and inventory plans for assigned merchandise categories.
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
Partner with buyers and cross-functional teams to create seasonal assortment strategies.
Monitor sales performance, identifying risks and opportunities to adjust plans accordingly.
Lead the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process, ensuring optimal stock levels and profitability.
Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to manage product flow and allocation.
Prepare reports and presentations on merchandise performance for senior leadership.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior planners and analysts.
Qualifications & Experience:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
✔️ 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or financial analysis, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
✔️ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
✔️Power BI experience.
