Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for concept development, new product identification, and customer recommendations through detailed market research and trend analysis, while liaising globally with internal teams.
- Work closely with the Product Development and Customer teams to envision new collections based on customer trends, and provide timely design adjustments as required.
- Responsible and accountable for Tech Pack development and translation by reviewing customer tech pack specifications and effectively communicating them to Production Merchandisers and PPC teams.
- Prepare development-stage internal costing by coordinating with factories on YY, CMW, and other costing components.
- Coordinate sample development (Concept Samples, Prototype Samples, Assortment Finalization Meeting Samples, Fit Samples, etc.) with factory sampling teams to ensure products meet customer requirements.
- Communicate pre-alerts for capacity reservation in a timely and effective manner with production planners, including details such as product style, quantity, and delivery date to support capacity planning for bulk production.
- Responsible and accountable for achieving order conversion targets by converting development samples into bulk orders.
- Monitor and follow up on T&A timelines and order status, while tracking production progress and coordinating with PPC teams.
- Perform other duties and participate in projects assigned by Senior Management to support the company’s vision and strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the apparel manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Merchandising, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with SAP or other PLM systems.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Japanese is an advantage.
