The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for overseeing the product development process from concept to delivery, ensuring that our apparel lines meet market demands, quality standards, and profitability targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for fashion trends, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growth and success.
Job Description:
Product Development and Strategy:
Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with the company’s vision and market trends.
Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to create compelling product assortments.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences.
Contribute idea in suggesting products’ designs or colour and feedback on the products during product development
Work closely with sourcing to ensure accurate prototypes.
Monitor the production process to ensure the quality and consistency of garments.
Planning and Forecasting:
Create seasonal merchandise plans, including sales forecasts, and pricing strategies.
Monitor sales performance and adjust merchandising plans to maximize profitability and reduce markdowns.
Forecasting the business, monitor sales in the market to ensure target and objectives are met.
Explore new designs for business opportunity & develop the existing account.
Communication Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with sourcing team.
Negotiate terms, pricing of materials and products.
Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet the company’s standards.
To calculate cost and pricing calculation and control of sales margin
Convention Sales Meeting :
Responsible for organizing product information, selling points and features for online or print catalogues.
Meeting and presenting the products to the distributor’s partners
Ensuring timely delivery of the products before the sales meeting
Monitoring delivery :
Responsible for monitoring and updating the progress of bulk production periodically with sourcing team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in apparel merchandising, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
Strong understanding of the fashion industry, market trends, and consumer behavior.
Proven track record of successful product development.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced.
Familiar with the sport global brand is an advantage.
Excellence in command of English & Mandarin language.
