Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with designers and technical teams to interpret design concepts into accurate patterns.
- Develop and refine patterns using drafting techniques, ensuring proper fit, balance, and style consistency.
- Utilize machining tools and sewing machines to create prototypes and test samples for fit and construction accuracy.
- Conduct detailed garment construction assessments to troubleshoot fit issues and improve pattern accuracy.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to operate pattern-making equipment, including CAD software and manual drafting tools.
- Maintain meticulous records of pattern revisions, measurements, and production specifications.
- Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on pattern adjustments for mass production efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in machining, drafting, and garment construction within a fashion or apparel manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sewing machines, cutting equipment, and pattern-making tools.
- Proficiency in sewing techniques and understanding of garment assembly processes.
- Excellent drafting skills with an eye for detail, precision, and quality control.
- Ability to interpret design sketches into technical patterns accurately.
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and fabric behavior to optimize pattern development.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and ensure project deadlines are met.
