We are looking for a Senior Sales Merchandiser – Women´s Bags to join our Sales Merchandising Team at our Headquarters in Madrid.
The objective of this role is to drive the growth of the Women´s Bags category by leading the merchandising strategy from both a qualitative and quantitative perspective. You will be responsible for maximizing business performance, ensuring the right product offer across regions, and supporting strategic decision-making in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Your role will be:
- Lead and contribute to the development and growth of the Women´s Bags category globally.
- Analyse category performance, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise sales, margin, and stock efficiency.
- Define and execute action plans in collaboration with regions (stock rebalancing, product allocation, incentives, visual merchandising alignment, etc.).
- Gather and consolidate market insights, competitive landscape, and consumer trends to anticipate business needs.
- Lead and support buying, assortment and end-to-end product lifecycle management for the category.
- Build seasonal purchase and allocation plans aligned with brand vision, category strategy and financial targets.
- Lead global seasonal buying processes (pre-buy, editing, consolidation of regional inputs, and validation of key documents).
- Define and propose optimal assortments per region, ensuring alignment with client needs and commercial performance.
- Drive and challenge sales planning assumptions in close collaboration with the Sales Planning team to improve forecast accuracy.
- Anticipate business risks and proactively challenge regions to ensure global targets are achieved.
- Develop deep knowledge of client behaviour, product performance and growth opportunities within the Women´s Bags category.
What is important for the role:
- Based in Madrid, with flexibility to travel (Paris as main destination).
- 8 years of experience in Sales Merchandising or similar roles, preferably within Leather Goods or Accessories (Women´s Bags experience highly valued).
- Previous experience in luxury or premium fashion brands.
- Strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset, with high sensitivity for product and luxury positioning.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
- Highly organized yet flexible profile, able to manage multiple seasons and priorities in parallel.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and able to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
