Position Overview
This role is focused specifically on women’s sweater design and development. The ideal candidate has a strong background in women’s sweaters and understands the full lifecycle from concept through production, including yarns, stitches, and garment construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop women’s sweater collections (Missy and Plus)
- Create original concepts, seasonal direction, and trend-driven designs
- Develop detailed tech packs, flat sketches, and artwork for sweaters
- Work closely with overseas factories on knit-downs, yarns, gauges, and sampling
- Review and comment on samples (fit, construction, stitch, and quality)
- Partner with sales and production teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines
- Ensure designs meet target costs and are commercially viable
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and vendors
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in women’s sweater / knitwear design (required)
- Strong technical knowledge of yarns, gauges, stitches, and sweater construction
- Strong tech pack (TP) development experience for sweaters (required)
- Experience working with overseas factories and development processes
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple styles at once
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Compensation
