About the Role

The Shop Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of the bridal and evening boutique, ensuring an exceptional client experience, driving sales performance, managing the team, and overseeing all operational, financial, and inventory-related activities. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, deep fashion insight, and a commitment to excellence in customer service and boutique presentation.



Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Experience

  • Client Satisfaction: Champion a client-first culture, ensuring every bride receives a personalized and memorable experience.
  • VIP Management: Personally oversee consultations and fittings for VIP clients, ensuring discretion and elevated service.
  • Digital Communication: Supervise the handling of online inquiries and ensure timely, professional responses in coordination with the Floor Coordinator.
  • Brand Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of all bridal and eveningwear brands carried in the boutique and ensure the team is well-trained.

Sales & Design Oversight

  • Custom Orders: Approve and guide the design and sale of custom gowns, ensuring alignment with Maison standards.
  • Couture Support: Supervise the process of Custom Made, ensuring the team adheres to brand guidelines and delivers high-quality service.
  • Market Trends: Analyze bridal and eveningwear trends to inform buying decisions and client recommendations.

Operational Leadership

  • Financial Management: Set and monitor sales targets, manage budgets, analyze performance reports, and implement corrective actions.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure all boutique policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Environment Standards: Maintain a pristine, safe, and welcoming boutique environment.
  • Tailoring Coordination: Oversee tailoring operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of alterations and customizations.
  • Reporting: Validate & check weekly reports submitted by the Floor Coordinator, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up with Head Office on key actions.

Team Management

  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop boutique staff; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Scheduling & Delegation: Create staff schedules and delegate responsibilities to optimize boutique performance.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans.

Inventory & Visual Merchandising

  • Stock Oversight: Ensure accurate inventory management, conduct quarterly counts, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Visual Standards: Ensure gowns are impeccably displayed and rotated to reflect current trends and seasonal priorities.
  • Receiving & Transfers: Oversee merchandise intake and verify accuracy against transfer documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Excellence: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a luxury retail environment.
  • Client-Centric Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Fashion Expertise: Deep understanding of bridal fashion, couture standards, and client styling.
  • Operational Acumen: Skilled in budgeting, reporting, and inventory systems.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and persuasive communicator.

Working Conditions:

  • Availability: Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and peak bridal seasons.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with fittings and gown handling.
