About the job
We are looking for an additional part-time Showroom Assistant to join our growing New York team. The ideal candidate is a passionate, dependable, confident, and trusted client advisor with a knowledge and enthusiasm for sales. Someone who takes initiative, has experience in the luxury retail market, and strong communication skills will be successful in this position. This position will require a combination of weekday and weekend availability.
Responsibilities:
- Confidently work the sales floor, selling to customers and sharing the Norwegian Wool story.
- Respectfully assist customers and communicate special features with a strong understanding of the products and brand.
- Establish a welcoming and approachable luxury environment
- Assist customers in person and over the phone
- Assist in carefully packing up shipments for e-commerce orders
- Maintain product displays neatly and in an aesthetically pleasing manner
- Help with product & supplies inventory checks
- Assist with various showroom errands
Qualifications:
- Retail experience selling clothing (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (required)
- Available to work a flexible schedule (required)
- Knowledge of fashion and luxury fashion
- Ability to reliably commute to Manhattan, 5th Ave location (required)
The schedule will include at least one day each weekend.
