Job Summary
We are seeking a Showroom / Design Assistant to join our team. This position combines front-desk showroom support with assistance to the design team. The showroom assistant portion of the role is primarily receptionist-based and includes greeting visitors, answering calls, maintaining the showroom, and providing general administrative support. The designer assistant portion includes supporting the design team with day-to-day tasks, like sample measuring, tech-pack creating, graphic design, research, and preparation work. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and holds a degree in Fashion Design.
Responsibilities
· Greet clients, visitors, and vendors and provide a professional first point of contact in the showroom.
· Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and assist with general front-desk communication.
· Maintain the showroom’s appearance, organization, and daily readiness.
· Schedule appointments, coordinate showroom visits, and assist with basic administrative tasks.
· Support the design team with research, mood boards, sketches, and preparation of materials as needed.
· Assist with sample organization, tracking, and preparation for internal reviews or client presentations.
· Help with measuring, labeling, filing, and maintaining design-related records and materials.
· Provide general support to showroom operations and the design department as assigned.
Qualifications
· Degree in Fashion Design is required.
· Previous experience in a showroom, receptionist, administrative, or design assistant role is preferred.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
· Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to assist with sketches, mood boards, and general design support tasks.
· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
· A polished, dependable, and team-oriented approach to supporting both showroom and design functions.
Pay: $38,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
