Showroom Sales Assistant – Women’s Wholesale Apparel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend Work: Not required
Bonus/Commission: Available if sales goals are met
About Us
We are a women’s wholesale apparel company looking for a reliable, motivated, and sales-oriented Showroom Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in the apparel wholesale industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the showroom for daily opening and keep the sales floor clean and organized.
- Organize and maintain showroom samples, racks, and displays.
- Greet and assist wholesale customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Introduce new arrivals, best sellers, and available styles to customers.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable styles based on fashion trends.
- Take customer orders accurately and submit them to the warehouse team for picking, packing, and shipping.
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, product availability, and new arrivals.
- Maintain good customer relationships and help support repeat business.
- Work closely with the sales, office, and warehouse teams to make sure orders are handled properly.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete employment verification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in apparel wholesale sales or showroom sales.
- Must be able to speak English and Spanish.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of fashion trends and ability to recommend styles to customers.
- Sales-minded, responsible, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced showroom environment.
- Basic computer skills required, including spreadsheets, documents, and order entry.
- Must have strong learning ability and be willing to learn the company’s sales system.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in women’s fashion wholesale is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the Los Angeles fashion wholesale market is a plus.
- Experience with customer follow-up by phone, text, WhatsApp, or email is a plus.
- Ability to upsell styles, promote new arrivals, and support sales goals.
