Role Description You'll work in person, side by side with our CEO, at the office, at home, and on location to capture the moments that tell VICE VERSA's story. You'll be in charge of ideas: dreaming up the narratives we tell, the small special moments worth recreating, and the short form content that make people feel something about a shoe that transforms.
You're someone who's obsessed with film. You think in shots and scenes. You can take a flicker of an idea on a walk and turn it into a concept worth producing that same afternoon. And you're deeply online, you feel trends before they peak and know instinctively which ones are us.
What you'll do
- Tell our story. Come up with the narratives, hooks, and concepts that define how VICE VERSA shows up online
- Shoot it. Film high-quality content
- Edit it. Cut and polish social-first video that lands
- Stay ahead. Live online; track trends, sounds, and formats, and flag what's worth jumping on fast
- Produce the day. Source outfits, scout and secure locations, set up shoots, and handle the details that make a shoot run
- Travel when needed for shoots and special projects
- Run the inbox. Handle content moderation and DMs, and bring back ideas from what the community is saying
Who you are
- A natural storyteller with a point of view
- Passionate, maybe a little obsessed, about film; you watch the world in shots and scenes
- Incredible with a camera and confident editing your own footage
- Deeply online with a sharp eye for trends and an aesthetic that's aligned with VICE VERSA
- Organized and self-directed, you can take things off the founder's plate without being micromanaged
- Comfortable working closely, in person, with a founder day to day
- 0–2 years of experience
- Based in NYC and able to work in person, with a portfolio or personal account to show
The details
- Hours: ~10 hours/week, flexible around shoots and content needs
- Pay: $20–$40/hour depending on experience and editing ability
- Location: In-person, New York City (office and home), with occasional travel
- Type: Part-time, with real room to grow as the brand scales
