We are seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to work alongside the our creative director and marketing team to plan and execute monthly content strategies.

This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the brand’s content strategy across various digital platforms. They will also oversee community management, engagement, and trendwatching within the hair and fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy and Planning:

Assist Creative Director with Monthly Strategy Sessions for planning, including big picture, ever-green, and seasonal strategies.

Lead content strategy by building monthly content calendars for Instagram and TikTok, leveraging brand pillars and targeting product-based sales goals.

Identify and spotlight relevant content from the brand content library for inclusion in monthly content calendars.

Develop and oversee content briefs for the creative team, ensuring content is tailored to support platform strategies across channels.

Content Creation and Execution:

Collaborate with the creative team to develop and produce content across channels.

Propose and develop copy for all organic content on Instagram and TikTok, maintaining brand voice and guidelines.

Conduct hashtag and keyword research to optimize content reach and engagement.

Content Scheduling and Management:

Manage content scheduling across platforms using internal scheduling software.

Ensure timely and consistent posting across Instagram and TikTok platforms.

Community Management:

Assist in the development of community management best practices.

Engage with and moderate YouShouldBeHair’s digital communities, responding to questions, comments, and fostering positive engagement.

Performance Analytics and Reporting:

Assist in creating monthly metrics reports to evaluate content performance and engagement.

Establish and monitor campaign KPIs month over month to optimize content strategy and performance.

Trendwatching:

Lead in researching and reviewing the most searched questions, topics, and trends across various forums and social media platforms.

Stay updated on the latest online movements and trends within the hair industry and fashion sector to inform content strategy and development.

Administrative Support:

Provide administrative support to the Creative Director and broader team as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Proven experience in content creation, social media management, and community engagement.

Strong understanding of the hair industry trends and fashion trends.

Proficient in social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok.

Excellent copywriting and content creation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

20-30 hours per week/ biweekly retainer.
