Growing company in Brooklyn that sells outdoor mainline hardlines and textiles looking forProduction and Sourcing Manager. 3-5 years of experience in production sporting goods or textile throw blankets preferred.
Follow T & A company calendar.
Set up and manage organized clean consistent costing chart for comparison while negotiating prices with factory.
Maintain good relationships with vendors
Work with overseas to negotiate factory cost, getting images, get HTS # for new items from broker, instruct China office testing protocol for new items;
Work with designer to follow up on tech packs before deadline
Daily communicate with China office/ vendors to solve problems,
Coordinate with production team to a smooth transition from production development to order placing.
Check development samples and advise comments
Communicate with owner immediately on any and all issues regarding product specs/features, cost, sample quality etc, seek solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong follow up skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask with a keen sense of detail.
Act as a team player.
Able to multi task, handle fast pace environment, can finish projects before due dates.
Be proactive, consider the whole picture and further steps, solve problems in a timely manner.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, highly organized.
Strong capabilities in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, pdf.
Communicate all production issues internally with Production VP
English and Chinese bilingual is preferred.
