What makes the role meaty?

1. Supplier Management & Sourcing

  • Identify, onboard, and manage fish & seafood suppliers across coastal sourcing regions
  • Build strong relationships with fishermen, vendors, and aggregators
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and onboarding processes

2. Procurement Operations

  • Manage daily procurement based on demand planning
  • Ensure timely inward supply to processing centers
  • Handle purchase orders, volume planning, and supply scheduling

3. Cost & Negotiation

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply terms with vendors
  • Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Manage seasonal price fluctuations and supply risks

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cold-chain standards
  • Coordinate with QA teams for supplier audits and quality checks
  • Address quality issues and ensure corrective actions

5. Market Intelligence

  • Track seafood market trends, seasonal availability, and pricing
  • Develop sourcing strategies based on demand and supply dynamics

6. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and quality teams
  • Ensure seamless coordination for procurement and logistics

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain supplier database, contracts, and procurement records
  • Generate reports on sourcing performance, pricing, and vendor metrics

We hope that you have..

  • 1–3 years of experience in sourcing/procurement (seafood/meat/fresh produce preferred)
  • Strong understanding of fish varieties, sourcing regions, and supply chain dynamics
  • Experience in vendor management and negotiations
  • Knowledge of quality parameters and cold-chain logistics is a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently to coastal sourcing locations
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
