Role Overview:
The Store Assistant plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience by providing outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a passion for retail. The ideal candidate will support sales, maintain store standards, and contribute to achieving performance targets, while helping customers discover products across multiple categories.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products across various categories.
- Provide product information and guidance to enhance the shopping experience.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to help achieve sales targets.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Store Operations
- Assist in visual merchandising, product displays, and maintaining overall store appearance.
- Replenish stock on shelves and ensure all items are correctly priced and tagged.
- Support in receiving, unpacking, and organizing new shipments.
- Maintain store cleanliness and follow safety and hygiene standards.
Transactions
- Process payments accurately and handle daily cash reconciliation.
Team Support & Communication
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations.
- Participate in training sessions, sales meetings, and promotional activities.
- Share customer feedback and sales insights with management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail (mandatory).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Russian speaker is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of sales techniques and customer service practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Team player with a proactive and reliable work ethic.
